The Kalamanch

Terms & Conditions

Welcome to The Kalamanch, Jaipur. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of The Kalamanch website, online ticket booking services, electronic tickets, QR-code-based entry system and related services.

By accessing our website, booking a ticket, making a payment or using any of our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. General

The Kalamanch provides information and ticket-booking facilities for cultural programs, theatre performances, musical shows and other events.

Event information, including date, time, venue, artists, duration, ticket prices and seating arrangements, is displayed based on the information available at the time of publication.

The Kalamanch reserves the right to update event-related information where reasonably necessary.

2. Ticket Booking

Users must provide accurate information while making a booking, including their name, mobile number, email address and other information required to complete the transaction.

A booking will be considered confirmed only after the applicable payment has been successfully received or verified and a booking confirmation/ticket has been issued.

Merely selecting a seat or initiating a payment does not necessarily constitute a confirmed booking.

3. Seat Selection

Where seat selection is available, users may choose from seats shown as available at the time of booking.

Seat availability may change in real time. A seat selected by a user may be temporarily reserved for a limited period while the booking/payment process is being completed.

A seat will be treated as finally booked only after successful confirmation of the booking.

Once a seat has been confirmed, requests to change the seat are subject to availability and The Kalamanch's applicable booking policy.

4. Ticket Prices

Ticket prices will be displayed on the booking page before the user confirms the booking.

Different seating sections, rows, categories or events may have different ticket prices.

Any applicable taxes, booking charges, convenience fees or other charges, where applicable, will be displayed during the booking process.

5. Payments

Payments may be accepted through the payment methods made available on the website from time to time.

Where an online payment gateway is used, the transaction may also be subject to the terms and policies of the relevant payment service provider.

For manual/QR/bank-transfer-based payments, users may be required to provide a valid Transaction Reference/UTR Number and/or Payment Screenshot for verification.

Submitting a payment screenshot or transaction number alone does not constitute payment confirmation. The booking will be confirmed only after payment has been successfully verified.

6. Booking Confirmation

After successful payment and booking confirmation, the customer may receive an electronic ticket containing information such as:

  • Booking Reference Number
  • Show Name
  • Date and Time
  • Venue
  • Seat Number(s)
  • Number of tickets/persons
  • Amount paid
  • Unique QR Code

Customers should verify the information on their ticket after receiving it and promptly contact The Kalamanch if they notice a material discrepancy.

7. Electronic Ticket & QR Code

Each confirmed ticket may contain a unique QR code used for verification at the event entrance.

The ticket holder must keep the QR code and booking information secure.

Users should not publicly post, forward or share their ticket QR code with unauthorized persons.

The Kalamanch will not be responsible for unauthorized use resulting from a customer voluntarily sharing or publicly exposing their valid ticket or QR code, subject to applicable law.

8. Entry to the Event

A valid ticket/QR code must be presented at the entrance.

The Kalamanch or authorized event staff may scan and verify the ticket before allowing entry.

The ticket holder may also be requested to provide reasonable booking-related information for verification where necessary.

Entry may be refused where a ticket is invalid, cancelled, duplicated, fraudulently obtained or has already been fully used.

9. Tickets Covering Multiple Persons

Where a single booking/ticket covers multiple persons, the ticket may permit entry for the number of persons specified on that booking.

If all members of the group do not arrive together, partial entry may be recorded where supported by the event's entry system.

For example, if a ticket is valid for 4 persons and only 2 persons initially enter, the system may record entry for those 2 persons while retaining the remaining eligible entries for the other 2 persons.

Once the full permitted number of entries has been used, the ticket will no longer permit additional admission.

10. Event Date, Time and Reporting

Customers are responsible for checking the event date, reporting time, show time and venue printed on their ticket or communicated by The Kalamanch.

Customers are advised to arrive at the venue sufficiently before the scheduled show time. Where a specific reporting time is mentioned on the ticket, it should be followed.

Late entry may be restricted or delayed depending on the nature of the performance and venue requirements.

11. Age Restrictions

Some shows may have an age classification or minimum-age recommendation, such as 12+, depending on the nature of the event.

Where an age restriction is specified for an event, customers are responsible for complying with it.

Children/minors should attend or transact under appropriate parent or guardian supervision where required.

12. Venue Rules

All visitors must comply with applicable venue rules, safety instructions and directions issued by authorized staff.

Items prohibited by the venue or applicable law may not be brought inside.

Visitors may be subject to reasonable security checks before entry.

Any person engaging in unlawful, dangerous, seriously disruptive or abusive behaviour may be refused entry or asked to leave, subject to applicable law and venue policy.

13. Food, Tea & Snacks

Where complimentary tea, snacks or refreshments are specifically mentioned as part of an event, they will be provided only during the stated period and subject to the arrangements announced for that event.

For example, where the ticket states:

Tea & Snacks: 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM

customers should avail themselves of the facility during that specified period.

14. Photography and Recording

Photography, videography or audio recording during an event may be restricted depending on the artist, organizer, venue or nature of the performance.

Customers must comply with announcements and instructions regarding photography and recording.

Professional recording or commercial use of event content without appropriate authorization may be prohibited.

15. Cancellation, Rescheduling and Refunds

Ticket cancellation and refunds will be governed by The Kalamanch's applicable Cancellation & Refund Policy and any event-specific conditions displayed at the time of booking.

If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, customers will be informed through available contact information where reasonably practicable.

Refund eligibility, if any, will depend on the circumstances of the cancellation/rescheduling and the applicable refund policy.

16. Changes to Event

Due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, changes may occasionally be necessary to an event's schedule, artist lineup, venue, program or other arrangements.

Where a material change occurs, The Kalamanch will make reasonable efforts to communicate relevant information to affected ticket holders.

Any refund or alternative arrangement will be governed by the applicable event and refund policy.

17. Failed or Duplicate Transactions

If money is debited but a ticket is not generated or booking confirmation is not received, the customer should not assume that the booking has been confirmed.

Please contact The Kalamanch with the transaction details so that the payment and booking status can be verified.

In case of a duplicate payment, the matter will be reviewed against transaction and booking records and handled according to the applicable refund/payment policy.

18. Incorrect Customer Information

Customers are responsible for providing correct name, mobile number and email address during booking.

The Kalamanch cannot guarantee delivery of tickets, confirmations or event communications where incorrect contact information has been supplied by the customer.

19. Technical Issues

The Kalamanch will make reasonable efforts to maintain availability and security of its booking services.

However, temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, internet connectivity, payment gateway issues, server problems or other technical circumstances.

Where a payment or booking is affected by a technical issue, the relevant transaction and booking records will be reviewed before confirmation or refund, as applicable.

20. Fraudulent Bookings

The Kalamanch reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to investigate bookings reasonably suspected to involve fraud, payment manipulation, unauthorized transactions, forged payment proof, misuse of tickets or QR codes, or other unlawful activity.

A booking found to be fraudulent may be cancelled and appropriate action may be taken.

21. Personal Information

Personal information collected through the website and booking system will be handled in accordance with The Kalamanch Privacy Policy and applicable law.

By using the booking service, users acknowledge that information necessary for booking, payment verification, ticket generation and event entry may be processed for those purposes.

22. Third-Party Services

Certain services, including payment processing, maps, communications or other technical services, may be provided by third parties.

Use of those independent services may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

23. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Kalamanch will not be responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including third-party service failures, network outages or a user's misuse or unauthorized sharing of ticket credentials.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

24. Force Majeure

An event may be affected by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, fire, government restrictions, public emergencies, strikes, venue-related emergencies or other unavoidable circumstances.

In such cases, cancellation, postponement, rescheduling and refund arrangements will be handled according to applicable law and the relevant event/refund policy.

25. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, content owned by The Kalamanch on its website—including its branding, graphics, website design and original promotional material—is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Third-party artist photographs, names, logos and promotional material remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.

Unauthorized commercial reproduction or use of protected material is prohibited.

26. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the applicable laws of India.

Subject to applicable consumer-protection and other mandatory legal requirements, disputes relating to The Kalamanch's services shall be subject to the appropriate jurisdiction in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

27. Changes to Terms & Conditions
